Happy Monday Friends! How was your weekend?!
This weekend was about disconnecting digitally and seeing some friends. On Friday I went out with my bestie shopping and for dinner. We were on a mission to find her heels for a bridal shower. Then since we worked up an appetite ended up at Scaddabush for some freshly made mozzarella and pasta. Saturday I watched Blockers with university friends and then went for a birthday dinner with my sisters friends. Nice to extend the friend groups! I have three main groups of girls from university I try to connect with every few months. Find there is either a lot happening to catch up on or our lives stay fairly constant with not too many changes. One or the other for the most part. Errands, home chores, laundry, family, and some work emails took up the day. Sundays I try to block for family and recharging for the week ahead.
Personally when I properly recharge on the weekend this allows me to be fully present starting the week and not be exhausted by the time Monday morning rolls around. Weekends have most of us excited because we have fun plans or something to look forward to. Even if I have nothing planned I am so excited to sleep in and go to the beat of my own schedule on Saturday mornings.
Believing something wonderful is going to happen at any given moment we in turn add a sense of importance and adventure to our everyday lives. Think about the last time you planned something which you were super excited for, the type of excitement where you’d catch yourself daydreaming envisioning how the event would unfold.
We all need excitement in our lives to look forward to. Make a goal this week to plan one exciting thing to look forward to in the next few months.
Have a great day!
