Happy Fit Fridays beauties! Most of us live busy lifestyles and when you want to stay healthy on the go, especially in hotels, it takes some creativity. There is food you can make in a hotel room which is quick and healthy! Growing up I was a competitive dancer and we stayed in hotels rooms for most competitions. Schedules were tight between routines and we often wouldn’t have time to go out for a full meal.
Request a fridge in your room to keep all your food fresh and edible.
Plain Yogurt with berries.
Oatmeal with nut butters or fresh fruit, or try overnight oats!
Cereal: even though I loved Mini wheats, it’s loaded with sugar! Try plane shredded wheats and add cinnamon for flavouring.
A veggie tray with hummus – easy to eat on the spot to toss into a bag for later in the day
Protein Bars – these are always handy to keep around
Turkey slices and sandwich fixings: Healthy and cheap these are great to have in a pinch or take with you to go
When possible source out local grocery stores near your hotel and account for time to pick up some food on the way.
Another tip I use is to pack one small and one medium size tupperware container along with a few ziploc bags to transfer snacks to go in.
