Two Minute Rule

In a Consumer Behaviours lecture back in the day at University, my prof recommended a book for us to read. Now I didn’t usually ever read these books because I was swamped with readings from textbooks but this one struck accord with me. Aren’t we all trying to get more completed in less time?

The book is Two Minute Rule by David Allen.

Two minute rule – a task which takes less than two minutes to do should be completed right away.

I used this rule to create a method of breaking up tasks not only by deadline but also how long I project it would take to complete.

There are going to be times where you have a few minutes here and there to fill. Having a quick reference list means you’ll be able to start and complete a whole task in those few minutes you needed to fill. What better way of feeling accomplished!

Have a great day,
~ L
