2 Ingredient Magic Shell

Happy Friday Beauties! The weekend means treat time and what better way to kick off your break than with a bowl of ice cream! Okay, confession time…I eat ice cream during the week as well. Who said you can’t ice cream before dinner, we’re all adults, right?

This chocolate drizzle hardens after about a minute over the ice cream and is seriously easy to make. I discovered how easy it was a few years ago and is way better for you than store bought versions. Let me know how it turns out for you!

Homemade “Magic Shell”

*Measurements are estimates*

1 Large Solid Chocolate bar

1 Large Spoonfuls of Coconut Oil

Melt your chocolate over a double boiler at low to medium heat. Chocolate burns very easily, you’ll need to stand by the stove for this one. If you prefer you can melt it in a microwave at your own risk. Side note here: every time I’ve tried to use the microwave at home over the last few years food burns, as in charred. Figured it’s safer I don’t burn down the house and stick to the stove these days.

Once your chocolate is smooth add in the coconut oil. The more coconut oil the fast it will harden over the ice cream. Coconut oil adapts to temperature change.

Lets the sauce cool for a few minutes, then it’s time to enjoy. Any extra chocolate can be store in an air tight container for up to three days. I’ve kept mine in a mason jar in the cupboard. If your sauce hardens in the container, run it under warm water to melt.
